Ladybug Flowerpot

Have you ever seen those ads that Michaels has in the paper for their craft workshops?  I've seen them before but we've never tried them out.  Well, this weekend Pierce and I decided to give it a go.  We almost didn't make it though, because Pierce's behavior in Target was so atrocious.  In fact, I asked him if I took him to paint at Michael's if he would be a 'good listener' and he said NO.  He may also have said he wanted to go home.  And he may possibly have been thinking up lots of toddler-dirty names for his mommy in his head.  Pretty sure he was mentally calling me a Mommy-Monster and a Swiper-Head and Grinch-Face.  So against my better judgment, I took him to Michaels.  I'm glad I did, because we had a fun time.

We had to purchase a little clay pot and saucer, but it was only $1.  Michaels provided all the other supplies.
In case you can't tell, Pierce takes his painting very seriously.
Oh - and that Christmas shirt?  Paul's fault, not mine!  ;-)

He made the spots with a tiny pom pom.  Brilliant!

He was thrilled with the end result.  He especially liked making the antennae.
And I thought, well, at least it's not a stinkbug.
