The REI Kingdom 6 Tent

For over a decade, we had a Cabella's tent that slept six that my aunt and uncle had given us.  Unfortunately, Paul left it up on the mountain last fall and it got stolen.  So we were without a tent for a good long while, and the boys really hated not being able to camp this summer.  So for our wedding anniversary, Paul's parents thoughtfully gave us the money to get a new family tent.

Paul and I decided to get the REI Kingdom 6 tent when it was on sale over Labor Day.  It is very spacious, with a room divider.  We set it up on top of our mountain one weekend for some camping.
We splurged and got the add on garage, where we can store backpacks or coolers or shoes or even a place for our dog to sleep.  Once the garage is added on, it's a very roomy tent.
If it's anything like our last tent, this will get a lot of use!  We are eager to take some camping trips - now we just have to find the time!

Readers, do you like tent camping?

I like to have room when I camp, so have a large one. REI is neat stores to visit, it started as a co-op.I have used a lot of their gear.

LOVE tent camping! We are hoping to go back to it next year. It was hard when the kids got older...they didn't want to as much. And we didn't want to do all the work while they relaxed. It was just annoying, so we didn't do it.

I have yet to find the perfect tent. And one that does not leak.

That is SO nice! I hope y'all have lots of fun camping (when you can)!

I used to take my youth group from church camping, and although that seems like just a while ago, actually it's been years. :)

For the last few years we have camped in a camper because the kids were so little. I'd much rather tent camp though. That's one nice tent you got!

How cool is that!!...

I have never really enjoyed tent camping if I'm going to be honest - I am a tent wuss. My back aches after and I don't like waking up feeling a little damp, etc... LOL.. but I love the idea of camping. Just.. give me a little camper under the pines by a lake and I'll be the designated cook and camp keeper, as long as I don't' have to sleep in a tent :-)

I've never really done much tent camping. But we just bought a new-ish tent this summer. We had a big one, almost too big, now we have two! And still not enough tenting! :?)

Nice set up! And it was sweet of your in-laws to do that. We have a huge tent our family used to camp in when the kids were young. I think it had several rooms in it and an entry way for taking off your shoes.

That does look very roomy. With 3 boys, you need roomy.
