The Twins are 8

Last month, the Cort and Reid turned 8.  Some of you have been reading about them on this blog since they were four months old!  Most of the time, they get along well (like in this picture, they were listening to some music together).  It's Cort and Pierce that do all the arguing in our house.

Cort and Reid are often up to some sort of antics.  Here, they were banished outside because of the brass instruments that they truly cannot play.  This is my uncle's old trumpet and Paul's old saxophone.  Instruments of torture for this mom's ears!

The week after they turned 8, it was back to school.  The only thing Cort requested for his birthday was blue hair.  So we made that happen.  He loved it, and couple of weeks later he was back to normal.

Cort and Reid are in 3rd grade this year.  Pierce is in 5th.  I can't believe we'll have a middle schooler next year!

I love the back to school picture! And cute blue hair, but not as pretty as his beautiful golden locks. I can tell he loves it, because he has the biggest smile. Gosh, I remember when they were so small! Our two younger ones run for the instruments the first thing upon arriving, and they come up to us and blow the horns as loud as possible. I think they are just looking for a reaction! Wonder why they persist in blowing and blowing when it sounds so bad! Their mom has no patience with it, but I have learned to kind of block it out. After all, they will be going back home shortly!

They will be drafted into the band in middle school, they can play loud there.

Oh this makes me laugh!!! I remember when my oldest daughter started playing her clarinet...relentlessly...day and night! Well, how do you get to Carnegie Hall ~ PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE! And fortunately, she did get to play her beloved clarinet at Carnegie Hall a couple few years ago! Get yourself a good set of earplugs! ALOHA!

Ah, Lisa. Before you know it, they'll be off to college. Time just roars by when the kids are home. Then when they are gone, it's mighty quiet and you wonder why you built such a big house. :-(

Wow. They are really changing and their faces are no long "baby" faces. Where does the time go, right?

They sure are growing up! Reid and Pierce look the most alike. All 3 are great looking boys!

My boys are in 4th and 6th grade. Mica has an Aug. birthday, so he's older for his grade.
