Cave Paintings Downtown

Walking back to our car while in downtown Roanoke, we were surprised to see some cave paintings on the side of a building.  They were so subtle that we almost missed them.
We looked around carefully to try to find the cavemen, but we never saw any.  Those cavemen!  They can be elusive!

Or even cave women! Some of our murals downtown were painted by Dorothy Gillespie.

You must have been there on the wrong day as the last time I was there I think I saw those guys. Could have been the skate boarders that they declared war on though. I should paint some on the old wall out at the barn.

Perhaps the cavemen were, well, in their caves. :)

Such a nice drawing. I've always enjoyed that type of art! Looks as though the boys were impressed by it too.

I've always liked seeing the cave paintings. that's pretty cool that someone put them up on the wall like that. Almost looks like graffiti at first!

Interesting. And it allows for creative explanations from young and old alike--until the truth is researched.
