The Bat Killer Strikes Again

Turns out it wasn't just a fluke last summer when our cat, Willie, killed a bat.  He did it again!  Of course, he kills other things as well.  He is quite the serial killer.
He looks rather proud of himself, don't you think?  The noble hunter, in repose.

Linked with Feline Friday.

Have a happy holiday weekend, folks!  Happy 4th.

He looks so much like our Connelly, who is also a serial killer... of birds. I've tried belling him but the longest a bell has lasted on him is two days. =(

Glad he didn't bring it in to you like one of mine does occasionally. I find trophies occasionally, and have had a bird flopping around at 4 am inside.

We had a 'serial killer' once. He would bring whatever he killed to the front door and wait for us to applaud his efforts I guess. Their instinct never leaves does it? Happy 4th weekend.

We never had one catch a bat, too many mice in the fields I guess.

Cruel Willie! Cats are pitiless creatures.

I hope your fourth is a good one for you and the family. Be careful if you leave your place.

But does that cat kill MICE? Because THAT is the important job, right? Ours barely does...

I learned that it can cost as little as $300 and that it can curve to match the shape does not have to be square

He's following his instincts! Hope he didn't "gift" you with the spoils of the hunt. :-) Our cats are indoors only but love to watch the birds at the window. Abbey moves her mouth like she's chewing. I tell them that "birds are our friends," but I don't think they believe me. lol Still no word on Abbey's tests.

He's handsome and adorable at the same time, and he has those tiger stripes for a reason you know!

Our cat would be a serial killer if we let her- but we love all our birds, squirrels and yes bats that live outside- so Lucy stays indoors and is better off as we also have coyotes, cougars and bears. They are the true serial killers.....Hpyy 4th!

HI Lisa, I need Willie to visit us ----and catch/kill some of the gazillion chipmunks around here.. They burrow tunnels in our flowerbeds --and eat the flower bulbs.... Can you loan Willie to us for awhile????? ha ha

Hope you had a Happy 4th.
Hugs,
Betsy

Hi Lisa. Thanks for visiting and leaving comment in my blog. You have a feisty cat there. Am sure not many pests around with him around. ;)

Interesting, as I'm reading a book about "The Brat Pack". Could this be the beginning of "The Bat Pack"? ;)

We had a summer a few years ago when our one cat was killing chickadees right and left. She brought their little bodies into the house, and if she could, would sneak them up to our bedroom. I followed a trail of feathers more than once to find the remains by our bed.

I hate bats. Well, I don't really hate them I just don't want to be around them when they're flying. I know they're good for killing bugs
