A Kitten with An Attitude

Our little Manx kitten that we found at the end of the driveway a few months ago is hitting his teen phase.  He's sweet as can be, but has a nose for trouble.  Recently, he showed us the meaning of feline irony when he got ahold of the "Taking Care of Your Kitten" book my boys were reading.  Luckily, it wasn't a library book.
I find it interesting that he decided to chew up the page where it talks about how cats are carnivores.  I guess he showed them.

I'm trying not to think about what Bobby is going to do to the Christmas tree and presents this year....

Oh dear! Perhaps you can suspend the tree from one of the LR beams or from the peak and the boys could use ladders to decorate. I wonder what he'll do to the Elf on the Shelf????...:)JP

Make sure to put the plastic/not favorite ornaments on the bottom half of the tree. Cats/kittens just cannot resist batting the ornaments and you will save yourself grief if you buy a bunch of plastic ones for the bottom. Oh, I still reprimand about not attacking the tree, but at least no treasures are lost in the training.

Get Bobby a box and cut a bunch of holes in it for him. That may distract him from the tree.

We have also found that a working train under the tree sort of scares them a bit.

ha!! Like we have had a X-mas tree in years. With all the strays and rescue kittens we have had over the years no way. We can't even leave stuff laying on a desk without it being knocked off. CAn't even leave a bag from the grocery store within reach.

It was good of you to take the kitten in though and the irony of the attack is very amusing :)

That is so crazy. I'm glad it was a library book to. Maybe he's like my son Isaak, sweet and sour. Isaak is so loving, and when he gets mad watch out.

Oh LOL. My cat is like that too. But we usually don't get a Christmas tree since we celebrate Christmas elsewhere.

I love irony like that! Naughty kitty! Our Rose was like that, too, and it cracked us up, the trouble she would cause. She's still kind of naughty, come to think of it. She might never outgrow it.

I didn't know you had a Cat, Lisa. But I can tell you that the Christmas wrapping will be trashed if he selected this chapter of the book! He made his point, didn't he? ;)

Bobby wanted to have his say! :-) Years ago I loaned the book "Marley and Me" to a friend, and her dog Spokes chewed holes in it, like she was showing that SHE was the world's worst dog. :-) We are looking forward to seeing how Abbey reacts to the tree once we put it up. We're thinking we'll probably have to anchor it to the wall. LOL
