Spiderweb

Another amazing piece of nature's artwork.  I saw this shimmering in the sun on our hike to Stiles Falls a few weeks ago.

I marveled at how tight and close together the spider put the threads of this web.  She should have her own gallery!

Readers, what have you seen in nature lately that stopped you in your tracks?

How very true about nature!

I'm wondering if it's as big as it looks. :)

Spiderwebs are one of nature's wonders. I have enjoyed seeing the first acorns fall. A few years ago, there was a shortage of acorns so I'm always glad to see the food supply for so many animals looking good. Did you know that the Wildlife Center of Virginia asks for donations of acorns? They need a huge supply.

I've never seen a cobweb pattern like this one before. Glad you were able to get a photo of it, Lisa!

Welcome back, I missed you. This is amazing! Usually the ones I see are uneven or have broken at some point. It is huge, complete and perfect. Great find! I hope you had a refreshing blog break.

Hi Lisa, Great capture of the amazing spider web. I was going to let Theo out on the deck earlier and I saw a similar spider web from the door knob to the chimney! I decided not to disturb Mr. Spider. lol

What stopped me in my tracks??? Um...the GIANT spider web and spider about nose-height on my walk! EEEK! I let out a scream and retreated. I do not like spiders.

That's so pretty! We sometimes get spider webs that are built on our front porch.

I found a wasp nest, and a snake's skin that I handed over to Isaak. He has a nature collection going.
