Farmer Hoggett and the Cortmonster

I think I may possibly have mentioned that Cort can be temperamental.  Just a wee bit.  Ahem.  I spend a good part of my day trying to keep Cort happy and entertained.  Part of it may be his itchy eczema.  Which makes me feel bad for him.  But part of it is probably also just his little Cortmonster temper.  Now that he's crawling, he is slightly happier, but only just.  In Cort's ideal world, he would spend his entire day breastfeeding and sitting on my lap being entertained.  Once in a while, if he felt like it, he'd go out in the world to ride in the Bjorn and stare at people.  So long as he wasn't required to smile at them.  He would not have to take naps, share toys, or be held by other adults who are not his mother.  I'm pretty sure he wishes he'd been an only child.

Anyhow, one thing that seems to get him to stop screaming is performing the Farmer Hoggett dance.  Remember how that dance made Babe happy?

Happily, there is no one around (other than Pierce and Reid) to see me making a fool of myself hopping about the living room in my own rendition of Farmer Hoggett at his best.
It proves a good workout for those days I don't get out to run.
And it makes everyone laugh to see mommy play the fool, doing a rough imitation of an Irish jig.
Because seriously...my dancing has been compared to Elaine on Seinfeld.
Like 20 times.
Scary!

That'll do, pig.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oh hey, there's another blog swap going on.  They are so, so fun.  Today is the last day if you are interested!

You shouldn't talk about poor little Cort. He is extremely adorable and it is hard being the youngest of 3.
