Bobby Demonstrates Tree Pose

I've mentioned before that Bobby likes to go hiking.  One day I went for a walk on my own and he came along.  He likes to make mad dashes up trees.

I was lucky to catch this brief, quiet moment, while he looked for birds and squirrels.

The End.

Hopefully he gets down each time. Never had one who climbed much. One always needed help and got rid of the habit when i left her for and hour.

Heh my Pantheon cat from the snake video used to do that. I find he is less enthused though as he gets older and the temps get warmer.

He reminds me of Abbey with his white paws and tummy. He's a good climber! He seems like such a fun companion. :-)

You really got some great photos of Bobby, Lisa. I'm not really a "cat" person but I enjoy seeing a couple of cats that come up in our yard; it's always amazing to watch them climb trees and fences. :)

Love the picture! Do all orange cats love tree climbing. My Mango is the same...up the tree....higher up the tree...only because I am saying not too high....Thinking my ladder will never reach him if he needs to be rescued......then when you ignore him he comes back down.

My supervisors crawl under bushes into the deep shade and are not seen during the day. As the sun gets low they appear but are still not running around like back in the early spring. Maybe they are just getting old along with the heat.

Neat! At least you don't have to call the fire department to get him down...:)

Sometimes when I walk down the mountain to get the mail, as many as eight cats run along in the woods on either side of me. They always stop at the pool by the gate, because they know that the old man who lives at the foot of the mountain has a pit bull. So the cats hang out by the water and climb around in the trees until I get back.

Last night, the two cats my daughter brought down here , escaped when I went out onto the porch about midnight. Ton Ton MaCoot, the big yellow male, looks like Bobbi. Maya, the mottled female, is an alley cat my daughter adopted.

My wife and I had to walk around and around out on the edge of the woods with cat food to tempt them back to where we could catch them. Neither of them would have lasted the night outside.

Ha Ha! I never thought you could go hiking with a cat. You proved me wrong! Even more, it sounds like your adventure was quite entertaining.
